Alida Miranda-Wolff, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, alida@uchicago.edu
Alida Miranda-Wolff is a second-year at the University of Chicago double-majoring in English and Law, Letters, and Society and minoring in Spanish Literature. She has previously interned for the non-profit organizations ART WORKS Projects and WORKSHOP/CoOP, working as a blogger, grant-writer, event planner, translator, and interpreter. She is passionate about writing, fashion, and the arts and serves as a Senior Editor MODA, a dramaturg for University Theater, and the Marketing and Social Media Intern for the Logan Center for the Arts. Through her work as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Law School, Assistant Articles Editor for the University of Chicago Law Review and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, she has narrowed her legal interests to intellectual property, mental health advocacy, and immigration and refugee rights. 

Anastasia Golovashkina, Co-Founder and Managing Editor, golovashkina@uchicago.edu
Anastasia Golovashkina is a first-year at the University of Chicago majoring in Economics. Passionate about writing and journalism, she also serves as a Viewpoints Columnist and Arts Staff Writer for the Chicago Maroon, and has previously contributed Op-Ed pieces to both the Chicago Tribune and Teen Ink. In addition to the Undergraduate Law Review, her work as a Volunteer Coordinator for the University’s Students for Barack Obama group and Director of Communications for the University of Chicago Democrats has led her to develop a strong interest in law, politics, and the social sciences. She also serves as Secretary on Blackstone‘s House Council and a Campus Recruiter for the mathematics education nonprofit Reasoning Mind.

Colin Bradley is a second-year at the University of Chicago double-majoring in Philosophy and Law, Letters, and Society, and minoring in Human Rights. He has previously founded and managed a flag football league for mentally and physically disabled children in South Florida, and interned for the Chicago Jobs Council where he was responsible for developing a comprehensive evaluations program, and for designing and writing the quarterly industry newsletter The Frontline Focus Flyer. He has a sincere passion for writing and journalism and has been a columnist for the Chicago Maroon since arriving at the University of Chicago, and is currently Managing Editor of the paper. He is also a reporter for the quarterly magazine Grey City. In addition to his writing and editing positions, he also works as the Program Assistant for Chicago Careers in Public and Social Service.

David Kaner, International Law Editor, davidkaner@uchicago.edu
David Kaner is a second year at the University of Chicago double-majoring in Political Science and Law, Letters and Society. He has previously worked for environmental non-profits, as a curriculum writer for his High School and as an intern for his Congresswoman. He also lived for a summer in Egypt as a State Department National Security Language Initiative merit scholar. In addition to the UChicago Undergraduate Law Review, he pursues his love of writing as a columnist for both the Chicago Maroon and the online NextGen Journal and as a blogger for Moneythink, a financial literacy nonprofit. When not involved in activism on campus, you can probably find him planning where he’s going to travel to next.

Molly Cunningham is a third year pursuing a Philosophy major and a Human Rights minor. Originally from the United Kingdom, Molly grew up across the United States and attended high school in Chicago. In college, she has worked for the University of Chicago Law School, researching union leadership and conflict resolution, and worked for Northwestern’s Bluhm Legal Clinic at the Center for Wrongful Convictions. On campus, she is an active member of the Model United Nations clubs and feminist organization GALS. In addition to her legal background, she maintains a campus blog on women’s rights and gender issues, Galatea. 

Ephraim Abreu, Careers in Law Editorephraimd@uchicago.edu
Ephraim Diaz is a first-year at the University of Chicago double-majoring in Political Science and Romance Languages and Literatures. Through extracurricular competitions, Ephraim has argued before several experienced trial attorneys and the judges of the First, Third, and Fourth District Courts of Appeal in the State of Florida alongside the justices of the Florida Supreme Court. Ephraim currently acts as the University’s Jeff Metcalf Fellows Program Volunteer Coordinator under the Career Advising and Planning Services (CAPS) Office. In the future, Ephraim hopes to pursue a career in law or politics, and remains largely intrigued by other subjects.

Adam Swingle is a first year at the University of Chicago pursuing a major in History and a minor in Germanic Studies. With that in mind, his main academic interest lies in the intersection of historical studies and the modern legal sphere, an interdisciplinary focus upon how a nation’s collective past influences particularized applications of law in the present day. In addition to the UCULR, he is also involved with Mock Trial and the University’s Chamber Orchestra. He looks forward to serving on the board of the Law Review this year.

Jeremy Sawyer, Associate Domestic Law Editor, jsawyer@uchicago.edu
Jeremy Sawyer is a first-year in the college. In high school, he was the captain of his school’s debate team. He has interned for the non-profit Minga Group and volunteered for the Scott Brown for US Senate campaign. He is a contributing editor of the campus publication Counterpoint and a member of the Chicago Debate Society and the University of Chicago Republicans. He works as a tutor in the Neighborhood Schools Program at Donoghue Charter Elementary.

Benjamin Tennenbaum is a first year at the College pursuing majors in history and in political science. He mixes his love of history and government, becoming a voracious reader and student of politics. During high school, he participated actively in his school’s Model United Nations team and served as the team’s delegate coach. He continues to indulge his love of Model UN in college, serving as a member the University of Chicago’s Model United Nations Team. When he’s not reading or writing, Ben can be found socializing with his friends—or if one is really up early, he can be found on the Chicago River, where he is a member of the rowing team.

Bavo Stevens is a first year at the University of Chicago. Although originally from Belgium, Bavo has spent the majority of his life living abroad in countries like Switzerland, Ghana, and attended high school in Jordan.  During high school he was an active member on his debate and Forensics team. Bavo currently participates as an active member of ChoMUN, the University’s collegiate Model United Nations program.

Sean McClelland is a second-year pursuing a Law, Letters, and Society major and a Human Rights minor. Originally from Nevada, he has worked with various non-profits expanding access to food security and children’s care in the greater Lake Tahoe area. In addition to working with a number of local judges and courts, he has also helped coach his high school’s We the People constitutional debate team. In college, Sean has managed components of Broadcastr’s social media outreach operations and currently writes for MODA and Diskord. He is also active in ChoMUN, the University’s collegiate Model United Nations program. As far as legal issues are concerned, he is most interested in federalism, privacy rights, and the ideological and structural functioning of non-common law legal systems.
